My Story

After 10 years of working as a primary school teacher in Australia, England, and Thailand, I realised that my passion for helping others could be even more impactful if I took a new direction. I had always been driven by the desire to support others in their growth, whether through education or personal development. As a teacher, I loved helping students navigate challenges and achieve their potential, and I realised that transitioning to counselling would allow me to continue supporting individuals in a more direct and personal way. This led me to retrain as a counsellor, earning a Master’s in Counselling and pursuing additional qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Throughout this journey, I gained a deeper understanding of how to support people through various life challenges, particularly adolescents and families. Having worked closely with students and their families, I developed a strong connection to helping young people navigate the pressures they face. Whether it’s dealing with school stress, relationships, or identity struggles, I saw firsthand how important it is to offer support during these formative years. I also recognised the value of helping parents better understand their children, as this insight often leads to stronger family relationships. I work with parents to bridge the gap between understanding and supporting their children, fostering healthier communication and connection. My commitment to providing quality support has driven me to create Feel Heal Grow, an online practice that allows me to work with clients across different locations and time zones. Through online counselling, I can reach those who may face barriers to in-person therapy, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to receive the support they need. By combining my background in teaching with my passion for counselling, I aim to help adolescents and families navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and ultimately thrive.

My Philosophy

My philosophy is grounded in the belief that emotional expression is a key element of healing and personal growth. I approach therapy with the understanding that life’s challenges, whether emotional, relational, or situational, can be difficult to navigate without the right support. My aim is to help my clients process and express their emotions in a healthy and constructive way, so they can build resilience, enhance self-awareness, and improve overall emotional wellbeing. Drawing from the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), I also focus on fostering understanding and connection. In particular, I recognise that communication can often be a barrier between individuals and families. By helping people understand themselves and others better, I work to create a space where relationships can thrive, whether it’s between individuals or within families. In therapy, I encourage clients to embrace difficult emotions at their own pace, fostering self-compassion and emotional healing. This process supports the development of stronger relationships, better coping strategies, and a greater sense of peace and clarity. For families, I also offer strategies to improve communication and create a more supportive, empathetic environment. Ultimately, I believe that growth and healing come from acceptance—of oneself and others—and from building compassion in how we relate to our own experiences and to those around us. My work is designed to help individuals and families develop emotional resilience, strengthen their connections, and adopt healthier ways to cope with the challenges life brings.

Our Sessions

At Feel Heal Grow, our counselling sessions are designed to be a transformative experience, blending the core principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Person-Centred Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This holistic approach allows us to support a wide range of clients, whether you’re a teen, parent, or someone navigating life’s challenges. In our work together, you’ll gain deeper insights into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Through ACT, we’ll explore ways to embrace your experiences and move beyond simply managing symptoms. CFT supports this process by helping you cultivate self-compassion, enhancing emotional resilience, and fostering emotional healing. For parents, understanding your child’s experiences and emotions is crucial. Together, we’ll explore strategies to improve communication, empathy, and connection within your family dynamic. Whether we work with you individually or bring parents and teens together, I offer a space where everyone feels heard, respected, and understood. Throughout the sessions, you’ll develop practical tools for mindfulness, self-awareness, and emotional regulation that empower you to face life’s challenges with resilience and purpose. Whether you’re seeking support for immediate concerns or looking to make lasting changes, our work together aims to help you live authentically and in alignment with your values. Ultimately, our counselling process is about more than relief from present struggles—it’s about building a foundation for a richer, more fulfilling life. By embracing self-compassion, acceptance, and understanding, you’ll not only foster a deeper connection with yourself but also enhance your relationships with others.
